Biography

Han Qiu 仇涵 is currently a high school student with a deep passion for photography. This website showcases some of her most important photography works.

The factory project on female factory workers reflects her reflections on local community—a textile factory in Nantong, China. This project attempts to document the lives of six female workers. Nonetheless, the stories extend to many more individuals in Nantong, where textile factories gather in clusters and draw migrant laborers.

The street photography collections are primarily photos captured in Shanghai, where she spent three years of high school and first picked up the camera. Living on East Nanjing Road, a famous tourist destination, she explored its surrounding areas through the lens, sharing unique observations through photos.

The family project was captured during the COVID lockdown period. It reveals the subtle shifts in family dynamics and bonds, partly propelled by the art of photography.

As a future sociology student, she aims to use photos to narrate stories of common people, urban environment, and her own community by applying sociological perspectives and observations.

This website will be continually updated, with ongoing exploration of her photography journey.
